As it happened: Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 launch
At
an event hosted at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple
unveiled the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 tablets, a new 5K Retina
display iMac and an upgraded Mac Mini computer. It also announced the
public availability of OS X Yosemite, its desktop OS and iOS 8.1, its
mobile OS. The new iPads boast of a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. While
the iPad mini 3 hasn't received a hardware bump, the iPad Air 2 features
a much faster A8X processor, a fully laminated antireflective display
and reduced thickness.
